GINA COOPER!

Gina Cooper took home the title of Instant Star Sunday night during the 2hour finale which boasted special guest Justin Timberlake. Cooper beat out runner-up, Emily Whitaker,  and 7 other contestants for the title.

“I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Gina to the Tennman family” Timberlake told press following the announcement “She is exactly what we were looking for, so well done Canada”

As for Cooper, well she was beside her self with joy, just smiling her now famous smile.

As for Whitaker well she will be hitting the along with Cooper as their song, One In The Same, gets released to radio along with Cooper’s first single from the finale, Here We Go Again.

The first single of Lesli Cameron’s sophomore album has been leaked… and perhaps just at the right time.

The song, Beautiful Ending, is a bittersweet tune that comes days after the singer’s now confirmed break up with Crystal Clear front man, Nick Collins.

Despite the fateful sounding title, the track is quite a tragic song of love and devotion that seems to be mirroring Camerons personal life at the moment despite being written and recorded months ago.

some suspicious tweets showed up between Crystal Clear and Juli Murphy tonight. It looks like one of the boys is feeling broken hearted and by Murphy’s response we are thinking maybe she and Matt have had another falling out after last weeks tweet drama.

Or could she just know something we dont? Murphy’s sister, Lesli Cameron, and Crystal Clear singer, Nick Collins, have been dating for nearly 2 years and recently have been under a lot of stress after a stalker situation ended with Cameron being shot in the stomach which hit home for Collins, having seen his father die of a gunshot when he was a child.

Or maybe Tomo? Nah, he’s too presh, no girl would dare break up with him.

Instant Star contestant Gina Cooper was out with her BOYFRIEND on Tuesday afternoon despite rumors that she is in a romantic relationship with judge, Johnny Reese’s 17 year old daughter, Joielyn Reese.

Cooper’s boyfriend, Andy Sheckler, is a member of the pop band Sons of Jonas [see below] and is said to be joining  her onstage this week at the Instant Star finale.  Tune in Sunday to catch their musical chemistry.

The internet is buzzing over a trio of Canadian brothers who performed at the MMVAs on Sunday. The Sons of Jonas are an unsigned pop band from Toronto, ON that won a chance to perform on the awards show and have since created quite a buzz. Could these boys be the next big thing? you decide.

Looks like any love between Juli Murphy and Matt Collins is gone. The reality star updated her twitter early monday morning with some colorful tweets.

There is no question who the “pathetic middle aged loser with daddy issues” might be.  Matt Collins was recently in the middle of an artical about his fathers dark past.

Looks like the final guy of the Instant Star gang has gotten the ax. Lennon Riley was this weeks unfortunate contestant sent home on the CTV talent search.

Riley’s final song was Aliens and Rainbows.

Juli Murphy looked surprisingly refreshed as she left on again/off again fling, Matt Collins, Toronto apartment early Monday morning. The duo who have had their tumultuous relationship documented on MTV’s It Girls have recently reconnected while Murphy has been in Toronto following the shooting of her sister, Lesli Cameron.

One witness claims Juli has spent “several nights” at the Crystal Clear drummer’s bachelor pad.

“There’s always been something there” says one insider “they just haven’t fully committed to the fact that they want to be together”

So what does this mean for their future?

“who knows. lets just say there is a definite spark”

The recent hostage drama reguarding Nick Collins and Lesli Cameron may have hit a little too close to home for the rocker.  Nick and his brother Matt had been involved in a hostage situation which took the life of their father when they were young children.

“Nick and Matt’s father, Gregory, was a drug addict who was very abusive to their mother.” says a close family friend

When Nick was 2 years old his mother, Constance, left his father which led to them moving around Canada to stay away from their father and changing the boys last name from Perkins to her maiden name, Collins.

“By the time Nick was 5 they had lived in just about every city in Canada, but it was when they were living in Timmins, Ontario that he caught up with them”

That fateful night Perkins broke into their house, trying to take Nick and Matt with him. The boys fought back and Nick was able to call the police. Little did he know, his father was carrying a gun. He took his sons hostage for about 3 hours until finally the gun went off causing police to storm the house. They saw Perkins holding the gun to his older son, Matt, and didnt hesitate to shoot him right in front of his sons.

“Watching their father die really did a number on the boys. Nick became extremely introverted while Matt acted out alot which you can still see in their personalities today”

Nick has been said to be extremely closed off following the shooting of his girlfriend, Lesli Cameron.

“I can only imagine what he must be going through having experienced that again.”

Gina Cooper was out holding hands with “good friend” Joielyn Reese on Wednesday night, but insiders say they girls are much more than friends.

“They are most definately dating” said our behind the scenes spy. “they were kissing and hugging backstage at the Stand Up To Cancer show”

The girls, who met through Reese’s ex-boyfriend, started hanging out back in March, but it didn’t turn romantic until mid May following Joie’s break-up.

“Gina was her shoulder to cry on, but she ended up finding love instead”

Some wonder if this gives Gina a unfair advantage, as Joielyn is Instant Star judge, Johnny Reese’s daughter. No says our insider
